Step-by-step: How to Enter the SHFL Lottery
1. Open the lottery page
Head to the SHFL Lottery on Shuffle and hit Play Lottery. You'll need a funded account – single-draw tickets can be purchased with any deposit currency, so you can play it as a bitcoin lottery with BTC, or enter with ETH, USDT, or anything else you hold.
2. Choose your entry type
Standard is the cheapest way in: you pick all six numbers. Powerplay is a pricier ticket with a guaranteed Powerball – you pick only the 5 main numbers, and your chance at the jackpot is 18x that of a standard entry. (Staked entries work differently – see below.)
3. Select your number of entries
Enter with as many tickets as you want in the upcoming draw.
4. Pick your numbers
Choose 5 main numbers from 1-74 and a Powerball from 1-18 for each ticket, or fast fill one ticket – or all of them – with randomly generated numbers.
5. Pay and confirm
Confirm your entry and you're in the next draw with a chance at all nine prize tiers. Note that Single and Powerplay tickets are non-refundable, and numbers can't be changed after confirming.
6. Watch the draw
The draw closes Friday at 6:00 AM UTC. The live stream starts an hour before on Shuffle's Kick Live Stream.
7. Check and claim your winnings
After the draw, open the Winning Tickets tab to see your results and claim. All winnings are credited to your balance instantly and winning tickets never expire, so there's no deadline to claim.
What are the odds of winning the SHFL Lottery?
The jackpot – matching all 5 main numbers plus the Powerball – has odds of 1 in 289,957,752. Every combination of matches that pays, and its exact odds:
Match | Odds (1 in) |
5 main + Powerball (jackpot) | 289,957,752 |
5 main | 17,056,338 |
4 main + Powerball | 840,457 |
4 main | 49,439 |
3 main + Powerball | 12,360 |
3 main | 727 |
2 main + Powerball | 553 |
1 main + Powerball | 67 |
Powerball only | 26 |
These are the exact mathematical odds from the 5-from-74 plus 1-from-18 format. They're long – that's the nature of any lottery – and no number-picking strategy changes them: the draw is random, and every combination is equally likely. A ticket pays out at the highest tier it qualifies for.
How do SHFL Lottery prizes work?
Prizes are variable, not fixed. Every ticket purchased grows the prize pool, so the pool typically builds as the draw approaches – weekly prize pools have exceeded $2 million, and you can browse past draws and pool sizes anytime in the lottery's Tickets & Prizes tab. Each of the nine tiers receives a share of the pool, and that share is split equally among everyone who hit that tier – so what a "3 main numbers" ticket pays depends on the pool size and how many other tickets matched three. All prizes are paid in USDC, whatever currency you entered with.
How do staked tickets work?
Staking SHFL is the recurring way to play: every 50 SHFL staked on the Token Dashboard generates one Staked Ticket, entered into the current draw and every future draw until you unstake. Staked ticket numbers are randomized – you don't pick them – and unstaking returns your SHFL after the current draw concludes (a pending unstake can't be canceled). If you need to get some SHFL Token first, here's how to buy SHFL on Shuffle.
Two differences from purchased tickets worth knowing: ticket purchases count toward VIP progression and can be bonused (Terms apply), while staked tickets do neither – staking is simply perpetual entry.

Is the SHFL Lottery fair?
